An advanced late-game bartering farm for technical singleplayer worlds and servers.
1.20.2-1.21.1
Gold and Bartering
Consumption
(1.20.2-1.20.6 Variant) Gold Ingot
-307.2k/h
Block of (1.21 Variant) Gold(1.21 Variant) Gold Block
-34.1k/hr
Positives
Significant lag optimizations compared to most previous designs
Fault detection: will stop itself if storage fills up, shulker boxes run low, or chunk loader runs low on items
Can enable or disable collection of any collected item type
Self chunk loading
1 dimensional aside from chunk loading
Negatives
Likely doesn't work in 1.21.2+ due to honey changes
Long shutdown process: chunk loading stays on until this is completed
Long duration between restarts
Large restricted area around the piglins: see notes
Large and complex build
Instructions
Notes
See thread.
1.21 version can be used in 1.20.3+ with experimental features.
Outer orange boxes (inclusive) around the piglins denote where piglins will pathfind to if full opaque blocks are present: having them will marginally increase lag.
Inner orange boxes (inclusive) around the piglins denote where piglins will try to throw bartered items if full opaque blocks are present: having them will lead to item loss and potentially break the farm.
Two orange stained glass by the box hopper-line in the build denote where it may be possible to create budded locked hoppers: be careful when building.
Wool and hopper above empty box and gold ingot box input are for creative testing - omit if building in survival.
Avoid being within 16 blocks of piglins when running, as players may become barter targets.
All blue and orange stained glass blocks can be omitted when building.
Farm is should be spawnproofed even when running; however, having mob switch on may reduce lag.
Many oddities are intentional; do not modify unless you are 100% sure what you are doing.
Avoid disabling collection for an item type during operation, as this may lead to loss later on.

alignment is recommended for optimal performance.
Fill piglins with a similar process to this video, except push in the final glass block from the side instead of towards the stairs so all piglins are in the corner: try to match positions in the schematic.
Ideally, all piglins should have golden boots.
Prefill filter loaders with the prefill pattern depicted in https://discord.com/channels/748542142347083868/1065569000899223572/1102189263858188329.
Usage
Load empty boxes
Load gold ingot boxes
Turn on switch
Wait a few seconds for chunkloading start
If fault is detected, correct fault reset indictator before restarting
