Instructions

Notes

  • If used incorrectly, the cannon can accumulate enough TNT in lazy chunks to crash and ruin the world. Creation of a world backup is recommended.
  • The cannon is designed for the Nether, do not build it in the Overworld.
  • Using the cannon in a Basalt Deltas will leave some leftover blocks.
  • Use the [calculator](<https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1kesIo_hdweXiTAuLGICUM36A6ZmiYgs4eFzXmNnBO_8>) to obtain an estimated completion time.
  • Trench length is constant, regardless of perimeter size.
  • The schematic sub-regions contain info about containers and trenches.
  • Item entities are automatically destroyed.
  • After running the cannon, a [Nether Sweeper](https://discord.com/channels/1161803566265143306/1445142786906259528) can be used to clear the lava.

Build

  • Sub-chunk align the schematic to the nether roof according to the purple glass.
  • Build a nether portal chunk loader in each of the chunks marked with purple glass.
  • Fill the containers according to Figures 1-3, where "N" and "TNTs per point" are found using the [calculator](<https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1kesIo_hdweXiTAuLGICUM36A6ZmiYgs4eFzXmNnBO_8>).
  • Hopper may be filled with any 64-stackable item.
  • Droppers must be filled using arrow items.

Usage

  • 1. Ensure player render & simulation distance is 16.
  • 2. Right click the note block on the waiting platform and ensure the redstone lamp turns on.
  • The player can leave while the cannon is running.
  • The cannon and perimeter area must not be loaded while the cannon is running.
  • 3. After the redstone lamp turns off, wait a few minutes.
  • If using [Chunk Debug](<https://modrinth.com/mod/chunk-debug>), verify the cannon is no longer loading chunks in the perimeter area.
  • 4. Load the perimeter area.
